The Lego City Jungle Explorers Theme

The first LEGO Jungle Explorers sets (originally linked to the LEGO City Jungle subtheme) are due out in 2017.

The adventurers exlore half-buried temples, overgrown statues, and crumbling stone arches that hide gold artifacts or rare gems.

The main goal was the temple traps and the rescued animals, not human "villans".

Many sets included "collapsing" temple floors, hidden gold statues, and carnivorous plants that could "snap" shut.

In the original wave (2017) the color of vehicles are Bright Yellow.

The logo is a Jaguar inside a foliage.

Iconic Original Sets (2017)

Jungle Exploration Site (60161): The flagship set of the wave. It featured a plane wreck turned into a temple, a heavy-duty truck, a helicopter, and the first modern Leopard figure.
Jungle Air Drop Helicopter (60162): A massive set with a heavy-lift chopper, a work tower with a crane, and a Tiger.
Jungle Mobile Lab (60160): A fan-favorite featuring a laboratory truck, a waterfall with a hidden treasure mechanism, and a Crocodile.
Jungle Halftrack Mission (60159): Noted for its rugged half-track vehicle and the inclusion of a sleek Black Panther.
Jungle Buggy (60156): The entry-level set of the series, perfect for getting a scout minifigure and a small jungle build.

All the minifigures of City Jungle are Dark Blue Legs, except helicopter pilot.
